I could have been married to a guy named Fritz

This is my dad…

His name is Eddie

This is my brother…

His name is Eddie also

This is my husband…

Again, … his name is Eddie

There might be an unhealthy pattern here… but I don’t wanna talk about it. Especially after I tell you that my father-in-law’s name is Eddie also.

Now, the story goes that my dad and his three brothers were to be named after their uncles.
By the time my father was born, the third son, the game plan had changed. His parents decided to name him Edward. Which led to him being called Eddie. His name was suppose to be Fritz.

I’m not sure what all of this means if anything. I get the feeling that if things had been slightly different, I could have been married to a guy named Fritz. And every Eddie I have ever known or will know would be named Fritz.

One last thought…
Some of you may know, we have honey bees. The hive is registered with the Department of Agriculture. Once a year a bee inspector comes out to check the hive and the health of the bees.
The bee inspector’s name is Edward. He goes by the name Fritz.
It’s just weird.
